The BLS Access Initiative is a three-year education partnership for eligible Canadian hospitals and healthcare organizations. Eligible participating organizations may receive BLS education without course tuition fees during their approved partnership period.

That sentence is not a promise of unlimited seats, of wages, of backfill, of travel, or of training before an agreement is signed. Eligibility, capacity, sites, and the education included are set out in a partnership agreement.

Applications are accepted from healthcare organizations throughout Canada. The program welcomes regional, rural, multi-site, northern, Indigenous-serving, and community hospitals, long-term care, and systems that serve dispersed populations. Larger urban organizations are not excluded by these draft terms.
